The IRR workshop “Inclusive and socially responsible research at the university – the path to innovation” was held at the University of Nis (Serbia) on November 15, where the most important results of the project were presented (Catalogue of Indicators, Knowledge Mobilization Report, IRR online self-assessment guide). The participants were welcomed by the Vice-Rector for Education Prof. Dr. Vlastimir Nikolić while the workshop and the discussion afterwards were led by Prof. Dr. Vesna Mandić. Participants confirmed the importance of inclusive and responsible research related to new policies for financing research projects focused on impact on stakeholders and society. During the workshop, they applied the new self-assessment tool and interpreted the results through discussion using PDF SE report. The main obstacle in the opinion of the participants is the inconsistency of the valid criteria for the evaluation of research contributions for academic advancement in relation to the indicators for knowledge mobilization.
